Poch overhaul continues as Spurs agree transfer deal

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alex Pritchard has completed a summer transfer to Norwich City, the latter club have confirmed via their official website.

The 23-year-old was expected to make his breakthrough into the Spurs first-team last season after claiming a place in the Championship Team of the Year whilst on loan at Brentford the campaign previous.

But the attacking midfielder struggled to impact amid a host of injury problems and was sent out on loan to West Brom in January, where he managed just two substitute appearances in the Premier League.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino confirmed last month that the former England U21, alongside Federico Fazio and Nabil Bentaleb, wouldn’t be part of his first-team plans for the coming campaign.

That lead to an approach from from Brighton & Hove Albion, but Championship rivals Norwich City leaped ahead of the Seagulls in the race for Pritchard’s signature yesterday after agreeing an £8million deal with Tottenham Hotspur.

And the Canaries have now confirmed the former England U21’s arrival via their official website, having agreed a four-year contract with the Carrow Road outfit.

Pochettino has already parted with Fazio, who has joined Roma on a season-long loan, and is still expected to axe Nabil Bentaleb from his squad before the summer transfer window slams shut.
