The Lilywhites have embarked upon a pre-season tour of Australia but three first-team players were left out of the Argentine gaffer’s squad – Nabil Bentaleb, Federico Fazio and Alex Pritchard.
Clinton N’Jie, who has been strongly linked with a summer transfer to Marseille, has also stayed at White Hart Lane.
But Pochettino insists the Frenchman’s absence is only through injury, whilst the aforementioned trio have been told they won’t be a part of his first-team plans next season.
As quoted by Sky Sports, he told a press conference in Australia; “Njie is injured – he is in London and not available to come. The situation of the other three players is very clear. They are not in my plans.
Fazio signed for the Lilywhites from Sevilla in summer 2014 but managed just 20 Premier League appearances and found himself loaned back to the La Liga outfit last season.
Pritchard and Bentaleb, meanwhile, broke into the first-team via Spurs’ youth set-up, albeit originally purchased from other clubs, but now appear to be on their way out of north London.
Tottenham are now expected to listen to offers for all three, whilst N’Jie’s saga continues.
