Pochettino ‘in love’ with Levy, Tottenham Hotspur fans react

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino seems to be making a habit of falling in love with people he works with.

Not that long ago, the Argentine coach was professing his affection for striker Harry Kane, who has scored 13 goals in all competitions for Spurs so far this season.

Now, he 45-year-old has been waxing lyrical about Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

The businessman has garnered a reputation for being shrewd in the transfer market, and so far it has worked to the club’s advantage.

In 2013, the North London outfit pocketed a then-world record £85m payment from Real Madrid for Gareth Bale.

The club also sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City in the summer for around £50m.

Levy brought in Pochettino from Southampton in 2014, and since then, the Argentine has shaped the team into title contenders.

While speaking at the launch of Guillem Balague’s new book ‘Brave New World’, which centres on Pochettino’s rise, the Tottenham manager was full of praise for his chairman.

According to the London Evening Standard, the ex-Saints boss said:

“It’s true that sometimes I don’t want to be so kind with Daniel because Daniel knows more than me that sometimes we have differences, but I am in love with him. Because he is the type of person who gave me one day, three and a half years ago, the possibility to be here.”

Tottenham fans took to Twitter to post their reactions to Pochettino’s high praise.
