Tottenham fans are completely split on the reported replacement for Erik Lamela, after the Russian press named them as one of the three clubs interested in Quincy Promes.

After a report from Poka Moscow (via Back Page Football) claimed Tottenham, Newcastle and Roma are all in for Quincy Promes, fans have been voting on whether they’d prefer the Dutchman or the Argentine.

Lamela has had a difficult season for Spurs, missing time for both injuries and personal reasons, before struggling to find form on his return.

Despite taking plenty of flak for his performances though, the tricky winger is a bit of a fan favourite for his work ethic and passion for the badge, and fans particularly love how he seems to annoy rival fans so much.

Lamela did grab a brace in the final day win against Leicester, but that’s nothing compared to the quite simply incredible numbers Quincy Promes has hit this season, as the 26 year-old speedster has grabbed 21 goals and nine assists in all competitions.

Promes is fast, direct, and his clinical finishing sets him apart from the hundreds of pacey wingers who struggle with their end product.

Despite the Dutchman’s undoubtedly amazing season though, fans aren’t completely convinced about replacing Lamela, as 54 per cent voted for Promes over the Argentine.
