Spurs fans have been discussing a possible summer swoop for Javier Hernandez, and nearly two thirds of fans would back a move for the West Ham striker.

It’s been one of Mauricio Pochettino’s biggest problems in the last couple of seasons – find an appropriate back up striker for Harry Kane.

Spurs desperately need another quality striker to take some of the pressure of their star man, as shown by his repeated ankle injuries towards the end of the last two seasons.

Both Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente failed to deliver, so could Hernandez be the perfect balance?

The 30 year-old didn't get much of a chance last season, but the fans at West Ham still adore his goalscoring prowess.

According to one popular West Ham insider, the Mexican international has still not committed his future at the London Stadium though, prompting rumours over a potential summer move.

Chicharito made his name as a “super sub” at Manchester United, so he could definitely fill that role in North London.

With an incredible 49 goals in 102 Mexico caps, the “little pea” would offer something slightly different to Kane, has experience scoring goals in the Premier League, and probably won’t be able to play week in week out at the highest level anyway as he enters his thirties, so a position as Kane’s deputy could be perfect.

Fans clearly agree, as 61 per cent said they should move for the little Mexican.
