Victor Wanyama had a difficult 2017-18 season at Tottenham Hotspur due to injury problems.

The midfielder missed the majority of the first half of the campaign, but when he did regain fitness he struggled to break back into the team.

In fact, the Kenya international, who has earned 50 caps for his country, made just 24 appearances in all competitions, and 18 of those outings were in the Premier League.

Wanyama - valued at £27m by Transfermarkt - had a memorable moment when he struck a thunderbolt of a strike against Liverpool in the top flight, but other than that, his campaign was fairly lacklustre.

According to a recent report in German publication Bild, Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund are keeping a close eye on the strong midfielder ahead of a potential move.

Wanyama has publicly indicated that he wants to remain at Tottenham, but given that manager Mauricio Pochettino did not feel any urgency to play him, leads to questions about his future.
