Sherwood not in running for Blackburn job

Tottenham coach Tim Sherwood has insisted that he is happy at the north London club, and is not considering the vacant Blackburn Rovers post.

The Championship side are in the market for a new boss after Steve Kean’s resignation on Friday, with the White Hart Lane trainer one of the reported frontrunners for the position.

Sherwood is highly-regarded at Tottenham and given his time at Ewood Park as a player looked like an ideal candidate.

However, the coach has stated that he is happy with Andre Villas-Boas’ men and that links to Blackburn were solely rumours.

“That’s all they are, just rumours. That’s all I know about it,” he told reporters, published in Sky Sports.

“I’ve got a great job where I am. There’s nothing to consider. It’s just speculation.

“I love what I do. I’m happy at the football club. It’s a great project,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph state that Kean may well look at legal action after claiming that he was forced out of his post with Blackburn.
