Spurs’ scouting system has for a while now seemingly been to follow up on the players Liverpool are looking at, Dempsey and Sigurdsson come to mind. This time round the surprise name is that of Yevhen Konoplyanka, a Ukrainian attacking midfielder that plies his trade for Dnipro under former Spurs man Juande Ramos. The Ukrainian is believed to available for £16m, and his pace and eye for goal may be useful attributes for a Spurs side still woefully short up top. His capture would be a bitter blow to league rivals Liverpool.
