It is sickening to think that the highly decorated Italian actually wanted to come to Spurs a few years back only for the club to see things slightly differently. Time has moved on and with it Ancelotti’s reputation has only grown. Three domestic league wins and a couple of Champions League victories make him one of the most successful managers in our game, and a man any club would be lucky to have. Like so many before him life in Madrid is proving difficult, and unless he can snatch either the league or Champions League he could be following his predecessors through the Bernabeu exit door.
