Over the last two summer transfer windows, Tottenham have spent an eye-watering £170million on new recruits in a bid to make the North London side’s on-off relationship with the Premier League‘s top four a more permanent state of affairs.
In summer 2012, the Lilywhites welcomed the likes of Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen and Clint Dempsey, and at the start of the current campaign, the £86million departure of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid saw Christian Eriksen, Roberto Soldado and Paulinho, to name a few, join the White Hart Lane ranks.
