According to reports from Corriere Dello Sport, Inter Milan have identified Manchester City’s Yaya Toure and Tottenham Hotspur’s Erik Lamela as top transfer targets in a bid to revive the club’s fortunes.
The San Siro outfit were once amongst the most formidable sides in Europe, lifting the 2010 Champions League title, but haven’t actually qualified for the continent’s top tournament in the last four seasons.
Suning Commerce Group are in talks to buy a 70% share of the Italian club and the new investment will be used in the transfer market, with four stars reportedly on Inter’s radar.
That includes one-time Liverpool target Alex Teixeira, who unexpectedly moved to the Chinese Super League earlier this year, as well as Ajax striker Arek Milik.
But according to Corriere Dello Sport, Nerazzurri are also targeting Manchester City’s Yaya Toure and Tottenham Hotspur’s Erik Lamela.
Toure appears certain to leave the Citizens this summer, with his contract entering its final year and former manager Pep Guardiola set to take the Etihad hotseat.
Lamela, meanwhile, has struggled to justify his £30million price-tag at White Hart Lane but remains highly-rated in Italy from two affluent campaigns with AS Roma – notching up 19 goals in 62 Serie A appearances.
