Some Tottenham fans love the idea of replacing Mousa Dembele with Steven Nzonzi

According to Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, via Tuttomercatoweb, Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has instructed the club to replace the outgoing Mousa Dembele with Sevilla defensive midfielder Steven Nzonzi, and some Spurs fans would be keen on a potential deal.

The Belgium international is looking more and more likely to complete a move away in the coming days and weeks having been linked with Inter Milan as well as the Chinese Super League, and Pochettino is said to already have his sights on his replacement, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Nzonzi has been one of Sevilla’s standout performers since joining them from Stoke City, and the north London outfit obviously feel that the 6ft 5in player, who dominated Marouane Fellaini in his team’s 2-1 Champions League win at Old Trafford in March, can make a big impact for Spurs.

Some Tottenham supporters, others of whom have given their verdict on a link to a 2018 World Cup star, were quick to have their say on Nzonzi via social media, and they seemed to back their manager’s thought process given one labelled him as the “best in his position” in Spain, while another said “Nzonzi will improve our team right away”.
