Famed for his physicality and composure in possession, some sources have even compared the teenager to Dutch legend Frank Rijkaard in terms of style and potential ability.

The Netherlands international started against Republic of Ireland last Friday in a Euro 2016 warm-up fixture and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was spotted in the crowd next to Pat Dolan – the agent of Eire striker Shane Long.

It’s assumed the White Hart Lane gaffer was making a check on the Southampton assassin, but Football Insider claim he was also scouting¬†Bazoer ahead of the summer transfer window.

A young, energetic player with enormous potential, the Ajax starlet certainly fits Tottenham Hotspur’s usual profile of potential signings.
