Jose Mourinho has been announced as the new Tottenham Hotspur manager, and could link up with former assistant Rui Faria once again.
Mauricio Pochettino’s entire coaching staff – including hugely popular assistant manager Jesus Perez – have now left the club but there is still yet to be official confirmation over who will join Mourinho’s back room.
Faria is currently manager of Qatari club Al-Duhail, having left his position as United’s assistant manager back in 2018.
Mourinho didn’t fare very well without him as he was sacked in December of that year, so the Portuguese will likely be eager to work with his countryman once again.
Faria also served under Mourinho at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid – the pair know each other incredibly well.
