Spurs scout €30million striker, Soldado swap mooted

According to Mirror Football, ‘leading recruitment figures’ from Tottenham Hotspur were spotted in Spain last week, running the rule over Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca during a La Liga clash with Celta Vigo.

The Colombian international boasts a potent return of 32 goals in 72 appearances across all competitions for the Europa League champions and was linked with a move to the Premier League during the summer, with Arsenal reported as potential deadline day suitors by The Metro.

The 28 year-old only agreed a new contract in October 2014, but it did not increase his €30million release clause. Rather than activating it outright however, the British tabloid speculates Tottenham will attempt using club-record signing Roberto Soldado, who has scored just once in the Premier League this season, in a part-exchange deal.
