Spurs eye top marksman to help Kane

Tottenham are considering a move for Sevilla’s Colombian hit-man Carlos Bacca, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

Spurs chief Mauricio Pochettino is understood to have made a striker a priority for this month, with the Argentine aware that much of the burden of putting the ball in the back of the net is currently on Harry Kane’s shoulders.

Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado appear to have failed to convince ‘Poch’ of their worth since his arrival from Southampton over the summer, with the former said to be available.

Bacca is seen as an option by the north Londoners, who have had scouts in Seville to watch him in action this season.

The 28-year-old has impressed at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, netting 11 goals since the start of the new campaign, building on his burgeoning reputation from helping Sevilla to Europa League victory last year.

Bacca also shone for Colombia at the World Cup and has been lauded for his bombarding playing style.

PSG’s Adrien Rabiot remains a loan target for the White Hart Lane side.
