Spurs eyeing big-money bid to obliterate West Ham’s transfer plans

According to reports from The Guardian, Tottenham Hotspur are considering a bid to rival West Ham’s in the race to sign Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.

The 22-year-old has just come to the end of phenomenal season at Stade Velodrome, bagging 17 goals and nine assists in 36 Ligue 1 appearances.

The Belgium international was selected for Marc Wilmots’ Euro 2016 squad but could be plying his trade with a different club once the tournament in France comes to an end.

Indeed, West Ham launched a ¬£31million bid for Batshuayi in May and it’s still reportedly on the table, whilst Serie A champions Juventus have seen a lesser offer turned down.

But according to The Guardian, Tottenham Hotspur could still make a rival offer for the 5 foot 11 forward in their bid to find an understudy to first-choice striker Harry Kane.

Marseille caretaker coach Franck Passi has already admitted the former Standard Liege star is likely to leave the club during the summer transfer window.
