Spurs defied the odds as they battled their way into the Champions League knockout stages on Tuesday night thanks to a Lucas Moura late equaliser and PSV man Nick Viergever's goal-saving slide tackle to deny Mauro Icardi in Group B's other game - if the Argentine had scored, Mauricio Pochettino's men wouldn't have made it out of the group.

The results meant that the Lilywhites joined Barcelona in the last 16 on 'goals for' alone and fans were quick to debate who would be the most favourable opponents heading into the knockout stages.

Fellow Premier League clubs Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City all progressed too, with the latter topping their group, but the White Hart Lane faithful weren't concerned about a clash with any of those just yet, with PSG, Porto, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Real Madrid to draw from.

The prospect of revenge against Cristiano Ronaldo's Juve appears too irresistible - the Serie A champions sent Spurs crashing out of the competition at the same stage last year.
