Tottenham Hotspur fans saw their side win 5-0 on Saturday.

After a dispiriting display against Manchester United – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side won 2-1 at Old Trafford – Jose Mourinho’s men bounced back in style at Burnley’s expense.

Harry Kane scored twice, with Son Heung-Min netting a fabulous solo goal and Lucas Moura and Moussa Sissoko also on the scoresheet.

But one standout moment came in the second half, as Mourinho introduced young striker Troy Parrott for his Premier League debut in place of Dele Alli.

And supporters were quick to flock to Twitter to hail the substitution of the youngster after his first taste of life in the top-flight.

The young Republic of Ireland international, still just 17, has been a prolific figure in the youth teams and is currently the top scorer in the UEFA Youth League, having scored six goals.

He had played once under Mauricio Pochettino’s management, in the Carabao Cup defeat to Colchester United, but this was his first appearance at Premier League level.

Mourinho has even suggested that Parrott could play against Bayern Munich in the Champions League later this week.

And fans are desperate for him to start against the German champions.

First-team chances are sure to come thick and fast from here on in.

Meanwhile, Spurs simply have to play one man.
