Tottenham Hotspur lost 3-1 to Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.

The Premier League club were roundly outclassed at the Allianz Arena as Bayern named a strong XI and Jose Mourinho rotated.

The likes of Oliver Skipp, Ryan Sessegnon, and Juan Foyth all started for Spurs and faced a team boasting the likes of Thiago Alcantara, Philippe Coutinho and Jerome Boateng.

Who is that?! Can you name all of these obscure Spurs signings? Give it a go now...

One man who was conspicuous by his absence, though, was Troy Parrott, the young striker who was left on the bench.

The 17-year-old made his Premier League debut at the weekend against Burnley and appeared as though he could make his European bow this time out.

Harry Kane, after all, had been left at home.

And Spurs fans were left disappointed that he was not given any minutes whatsoever.

One has to believe that they had a point too.

Lucas Moura, the man chosen to lead the line, completed just four passes throughout his time on the pitch and did not manage to have a single shot on target.

Bringing Parrott on, even as a substitute, could have enhanced Spurs’ attack throughout the second half.

But, ultimately, he was left twiddling his thumbs, perhaps thinking about how he could have added to his UEFA Youth League tally of six goals on Wednesday instead.

Meanwhile, one Spurs youngster has been compared with a Chelsea legend.
