Tottenham Hotspur isn't a pleasant place right now, and on the back of a derby defeat, the news coming from the club is far from helping appease supporters.

According to Football Insider, Spurs are expected to announce that their annual revenues have surpassed the £400m mark, which would be a club-record high.

It comes after the north Londoners moved into a new stadium in April and reached the Champions League final last season with their previous accounts recording revenue of £380.7m.

And after the club failed to clinch a new striker to fill the void left behind by the injured Harry Kane, a situation that has worsened with Heung-min Son joining him on the treatment table, fans are reeling beyond belief.

Here's what has been said...

One supporter was quick to describe the news as "sickening" whilst another questioned where the money was all going.

It has led to further criticism being thrown at the board with ownership group ENIC and Daniel Levy the two main targets, of course...

The usual ENIC and Levy OUT movement has clearly been strengthened through this latest update.

One member of the Spurs faithful claimed it would fill the chairman's retirement coffers nicely while another is expecting Joe Lewis to buy a couple more yachts before going onto call the pair "absolute parasites."

A further fan told the club to sack their PR staff as it wasn't the best time to announce such news.

There was even a comment made in jest, suggesting that Levy could now afford some hair.

Given their increasing problems on the field, plenty of others highlighted how it doesn't matter how much money the club is making as it's just not correlating to transfers and the team.

Loads of Spurs fans now want the club to spend the cash this summer, claiming that these revenues mean nothing unless it is reinvested into the playing squad.
