Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Harry Winks is back in training via a tweet on their official Twitter account.
The English midfielder has not played for the club in the Premier League since the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in February.
A groin injury has ruled him out of games against Arsenal, Southampton and Liverpool, with Spurs taking just one point from a possible nine.
Indeed, they have not won since February 10th, when Leicester City were beaten 3-1.
But Winks’ return has boosted the spirits of a number of fans, who were left disappointed by their dramatic 2-1 defeat to the Reds at Anfield at the weekend.
Spurs started the game at Anfield with Dele Alli in a deeper-lying midfield role than usual, but Winks’ return could give Mauricio Pochettino another option as Spurs prepare to take on Crystal Palace in the first game at their new stadium on Wednesday.
Take a look at the best of the reaction on Twitter below!
