Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left split over news of interest in midfielder Harry Winks.

The Athletic reported on Monday that the midfielder is seen as an option for both Manchester City and Manchester United, with the former attempting to replace Fernandinho, and the latter looking for reinforcements this month.

City are said to be unlikely to be too busy in January, however.

Winks has struggled for minutes under new manager Jose Mourinho, playing 90 minutes just once in the Premier League, and fans believe that he should be offloaded.

Indeed, a selection of other fans believe that such a sale could fund a move for Boubakary Soumare, the Lille midfielder, or Ajax's Hakim Ziyech.

The big fat Tottenham quiz of 2019 - how much do you remember about the last year at Spurs?

Spurs have been credited with an interest in the former, who has made 17 Ligue 1 appearances this season, while they are also reported to admire Ziyech.

However, some fans believe that Spurs should do all they can to keep hold of the player, particularly with such big clubs interested in his services.

Winks is an England international and has won six caps for his country, scoring one goal.

It remains to be seen whether he will still be at Spurs come February.

Meanwhile, Spurs fans have piled in on one man after his display against Middlesbrough.
