Spurs fans love move for World Cup winner Pavard

Multiple reports have linked Tottenham with a move for World Cup winner Benjamin Pavard, and fans are absolutely loving the news.

Though recent reports have suggested Toby Alderweireld could yet stay in North London, it seems Mauricio Pochettino is already eyeing up his replacement.

The Belgian has been flirting with an exit from the club, and it seems Pochettino has identified the impressively versatile Pavard as a replacement.

According to Bild (via Sport Witness), Tottenham and Bayern Munich are set to battle it out for the Pavard, who starred for France during the World Cup.

The bookmakers have added fuel to the fire by slashing the odds on Spurs to land the 22 year-old, with the North Londoners now priced at just 2/1 to land him.

Valued at £36m by Transfermarkt, the young Stuttgart defender spent the tournament at right back, but he is naturally a centre back. He is incredibly gifted on the ball, an exceptional passer, and a really solid defender as well.

His versatility means he could fit into a back four or a back three, and he has even spent time playing in midfield.

Fans are absolutely loving the move to sign one of the World Cup’s brightest young talents, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
