Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to the club posting highlights of last season’s win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

Spurs won 3-0 at Wembley under Mauricio Pochettino, with Son Heung-Min, Jan Vertonghen, and Fernando Llorente all on the scoresheet.

The game involved a virtuoso performance from Vertonghen, playing in a left wing-back role.

He assisted Son’s goal with a superb cross and then scored the second himself, and a number of fans have hailed the Belgium international for his display.

Indeed, the 32-year-old was the centre of attention against Southampton in their FA Cup fourth-round replay, looking absolutely crestfallen after being substituted.

Other fans, of course, have merely reminisced over a brilliant atmosphere at Wembley.

The result set Spurs up to go to Germany and win 1-0, securing a 4-0 aggregate victory that set up the club’s clash with Manchester City in the quarter-final.

Pochettino’s men reached the final, only to lose to Liverpool.

They resume Champions League action next week against RB Leipzig in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie.
