Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left disappointed by the news that goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has undergone surgery on his injured elbow.
The club’s official Twitter account have confirmed that he has gone under the knife as he continues to recover from the elbow injury he sustained in the 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion in October.
Per the club, Lloris dislocated his elbow and sustained ligament damage as he flailed under a cross in the opening minutes at the AMEX Stadium.
Paulo Gazzaniga has deputised in his stead, keeping a clean sheet against Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League on Wednesday evening and impressing against Liverpool at Anfield, in a game in which he made a total of 12 saves.
Nevertheless, fans have been left disheartened by the update, with Lloris set to remain on the sidelines until 2020 at the earliest.
Take a look at the best of the reaction below!
