According to The Telegraph, Spurs may weigh up a move for Liverpool’s Divock Origi to fill the striker void left by Harry Kane’s injury – the England captain limped off after the Manchester United loss and is set to miss up to 11 games.
The Telegraph believes that Mauricio Pochettino has around £50m in the bank if he wishes to delve into the market to sign a hitman in Kane’s stead as Fernando Llorente is currently the only viable option – Heung-Min Son is on international duty with South Korea.
Meanwhile, making his return to Anfield this season after spending 2017/18 on loan at Wolfsburg, Origi has – kind of – worked his way back into Jurgen Klopp’s first team considerations.
The 23-year-old has made five appearances in all competitions, scoring twice and assisting another, which isn’t too shabby considering he has only been afforded 172 total minutes of football this campaign.
However, Spurs fans certainly seem to feel that the club would be scraping the barrel by signing the versatile forward, as they reacted on Twitter…
Why buy another Janssen

Do behave! This is a team from the bottom half of the table that would make a signing like this. Time to show our ambition, we should be looking at Malcom or Higuain.
