Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left contemplating the possibility of Mauricio Pochettino rocking up at Arsenal for the last few weeks.

Fresh from his sacking as Spurs boss, the Gunners sacked Unai Emery and reports have suggested that he is seen as a viable option to take over.

However, a new Daily Telegraph report claims that any club wishing to appoint Pochettino will have to deal directly with Daniel Levy and pay compensation to Spurs.

Essentially, he has been placed on gardening leave, meaning that the club would be due a fee if he moved to another club before the summer, be it in England or in Europe.

And supporters have been reacting to the news in their droves.

A number of fans have taken it upon themselves to praise Levy for the way he has conducted the business.

Other fans have taken the opportunity to poke fun at the fact that Arsenal are now unlikely to appoint Pochettino, who guided the club to the Champions League final and also mounted two Premier League title challenges.

One has to say that, if this is true, it is a truly superb piece of business from the Spurs chairman, who has essentially ensured that Pochettino won’t be lining up against his side in 2019/20.

Meanwhile, Spurs have a rival in the chase to sign a former Premier League flop.
