Tottenham Hotspur succumbed to their second defeat of the week as they were beaten in the London Derby this afternoon.

Jose Mourinho's side weren't a match for Chelsea who made Spurs' top four quest all that harder by opening up a four-point gap with the victory.

Olivier Giroud, of course, opened the scoring in the 15th minute, slotting home an effort after Ross Barkley had fired off the post before Marcos Alonso hammered one from range three minutes into the second half to double their advantage.

Spurs' only saving grace was an own goal from Antonio Rudiger, who knew very little about it as Erik Lamela tried to beat the centre-back with a burst of pace before the ball hit his foot and trickled past the home goalkeeper.

Fans have taken to social media to unleash on Tanguy Ndombele, who could only manage 62 minutes on the pitch.

Here's what has been said...

"Disaster" and "flop" were two words used to describe the showing from the Frenchman whilst one supporter claimed he was a wasted talent.

Ndombele joined Spurs in the summer for a club-record £55m from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon and fans have been far from pleased with his returns.

Plenty of fans have pointed out his fitness as the 23-year-old continues to not feature for a full-length game.

As per Transfermarkt, he is averaging only 53 minutes per game in all competitions this season.

"So fat" and "unfit" were two phrases of choice to sum up the current situation.

There were even comparisons made to players past and present - one fan claimed he was just another Erik Lamela as he was made of glass whilst another added that he reminded him of Tom Huddlestone - a very talented player who also had problems with his stamina.
