Tottenham Hotspur's chances of making the top four in the Premier League this season have taken a huge dent following defeat on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs were well-beaten by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge despite the scoreline only being a goal advantage at 2-1.

Jose Mourinho's men managed just five shots all game, in the absence of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, whilst the home side racked up a total of 17 themselves.

Olivier Giroud opened the scoring in the 15th minute before Marcos Alonso doubled the advantage three minutes into the second half, and then late on, Erik Lamela's attempt found a way in off Antonio Rudiger but it was too little, too late.

Fans have taken to social media to slam their feeble attempt in front of goal with makeshift centre-forward Lucas Moura receiving the brunt of the criticism.

Here's what has been said...

Plenty members of the travelling Spurs support were left reeling and their reaction tells - one supporter described him as a "complete embarrassment" whilst "frustrating" and "dead weight" were further comments added.
