Tottenham Hotspur supporters have urged the club to sign Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek after a Dutch journalist, via TalkSport, claimed that he is open to a move to north London.
The Netherlands international has emerged as a genuine star this season, with the Eredivisie giants reaching the Champions League semi-finals, where, ironically, they were eliminated by a phenomenal Spurs comeback.
Van de Beek scored in the first leg of that game as Ajax won 1-0 in north London, prior to their 3-2 defeat in Amsterdam.
Indeed, he scored 17 goals in all competitions, while he also provided 13 assists, and was a part of the Netherlands’ run to the Nations League final, where they were beaten by Portugal this weekend.
And supporters want the club to bring the young star to the club as soon as possible in the summer transfer window following Marcel van der Kraan’s update.
