Tottenham Hotspur fans want to see Danny Rose dropped to the reserves after he revealed that he intends to run down the final 18 months of his contract at the club.

In an interview with The London Evening Standard, the left-back confirmed that he was told in the summer that he would not be given a new deal, with the club then attempting to sell him.

Indeed, he was spotted at Watford’s training ground on transfer deadline day, though no deal came of it.

He has since played nine times in the Premier League, picking up five yellow cards and a subsequent suspension against Everton. He was left out of the squad for the 1-1 draw with Sheffield United.

And fans have reacted negatively to the England international’s comments, insisting that he should be taught a lesson by being dropped to playing with the kids.

Spurs have another option at left-back, of course, with Ben Davies another specialist operator in the position, while summer signing Ryan Sessegnon can be used in that capacity as well.
