Revenge is a dish best served cold, and a chilly January evening could be the ideal time for Spurs to get their own back on Chelsea.

The two London rivals’ past two clashes in league action have been full of tension, with the Blues pulling out the sort of performance they seemed incapable of through much of 2015/16 towards the back end of the campaign to come from behind and end the Lilywhites’ title hopes, before earlier this term securing a win, once again coming back from being behind on the scoresheet.

And there’s yet more incentive for Mauricio Pochettino’s men this time at White Hart Lane, as the Blues look to make it 14 league wins in a row and extend their lead at the top of the table. It really would be a nice feeling for all in the white half of north London to dent the Chelsea juggernaut.

Spurs will undoubtedly need to score to win – that’s how football works, folks – and they can take inspiration from these FIVE great goals they’ve netted vs. Chelsea in the past…

Robbie Keane - 2008

The Lilywhites fans have witnessed some great strikers through the years, and Robbie Keane ranks among their best in recent memory.

Over a six-year period, the Irishman was excellent in the white shirt and scored 107 goals in total.

The above effort vs. Chelsea ranks among his best as he curled the ball home from the edge of the area.

Jonathan Woodgate - 2008

There haven't been many more important Spurs goals than Jonathan Woodgate's winner against the Blues in 2008.

Woodgate inspired Tottenham to their first major trophy in nine years with his effort against the Blues, and although it wasn't a traditional wonder-strike, it was still a great effort!

Harry Kane - 2015

Tottenham and Chelsea's games have provided some of the Premier League's great moments.

Back in January 2015 the duo put on a football display not easily forgotten, with two goals from Harry Kane living long in the memory of the Spurs faithful. The young forward's second goal was the contest's best as he showed his pure goalscoring ability against some top defenders.

Sandro - 2011

Brazilian midfielder Sandro was not known for his goalscoring, but he notched a cracker for Spurs during their visit to Stamford Bridge in 2011.

The powerful midfielder picked the ball up close to 30 yards from goal before smashing it into the net (21 seconds in the above video) for one of his best moments for the London club.

Harry Kane - 2016

In April, Tottenham supporters were dreaming of a first league title since 1961 until they visited Stamford Bridge.

At half-time, Pochettino was in dreamland as his side were winning 0-2 and hopes of ending that dreaded hoodoo seemed feasible. In the end, the contest finished 2-2, and Leicester claimed the Premier League title, but Harry Kane's goal summed up Spurs' season.

Neat, smart, tight passing resulted in Kane finishing off a superb team move to double Spurs' lead.
