Although he is yet to score from open play, Vincent Janssen is taking the Roberto Soldado role at Tottenham. Penalty specialist now, it seems, Janssen netted a the opener in the Lilywhites’ clash with the Foxes.
A competitive, whistle-heavy first half at White Hart Lane made a penalty a near inevitability. Janssen did the honours from 12 yards, as he did in midweek, and will potentially have some much needed confidence now.
Fans of both clubs will naturally disagree on such a questionable penalty decision, but its always good fun to see how people reacted.
Often said Janssen reminds me of Rickie Lambert. Takes a penalty like him too #COYS

This tweet, for instance, makes little sense. Taking penalties like Lambert is obviously a great thing, but its tricky to tell if ‘Spurs Fanatic’ means this offensively or not?

Whether Spurs are getting ‘kicked to bits’ or making a meal of challenges seems to depend on who you listen to.
Janssen is the new soldado

So this one certainly is meant in a bad way.
Janssen > Aguero

Yeah, maybe calm down a little.
Glad to see Robert Huth has been punished for his man handling in the box. Doesn't happen enough.

Spurs get a penalty. They've been diving and claiming for everything so it's not really a surprise they finally get one. Huth stupid.1-0

And the last two tweets are fine examples of different opinions on how the penalty was awarded!
