Spurs ‘have held talks’ with summer freebie

Tottenham are keen on a summer deal for soon to be out of contract Ghanaian star Andre Ayew, with ESPN claiming that they’ve already held talks with the player’s agent.

The pacey wide attacker is set to be a free agent in a few months’ time, with his Marseille contract coming to an end.

Everton and Newcastle have both been linked with the l’OM ace, but now it’s suggested that Spurs are firmly in the running.

ESPN claim sources have told them that Ayew’s representatives have been contacted by the London club, who are eager to push through a deal at the end of the season.

The Ghana international would inject pace into Mauricio Pochettino’s attacking line and could provide the likes of Harry Kane the ammunition needed to spark another top four push.

Ayew represented his nation at last summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
