Spurs launch £26m move for ‘45 goals in 110 games’ Liverpool-linked forward (not Berahino)

Spurs have made an offer worth £26m for impressive Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi, according to reports from Metro.

The 21-year-old attacker has emerged as one of the finest young talents in Italian football and has already netted 45 goals in 110 games through his fledgling career.

Berardi – who can play as either a striker or winger – has been linked with Liverpool since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp, but Metro (citing reports originating from La Gazzetta dello Sport) claim that Spurs have now put forward a £26m offer after tracking his progress over the course of the last year.

The youngster could play an able back-up role to Harry Kane at White Hart Lane, with the England international short of cover following the summer exits of Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado.

Berardi, who stands at 6ft. 1”, has been capped 14 times by Italy’s U-21 side and is an outsider to break into the senior Azzurri ranks ahead of EURO 2016.
