Juventus are eyeing a move for Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose, per Football Insider.

What’s the word?

The Spurs full-back has been left out of the club’s squad for their pre-season tour of Singapore.

The club have confirmed that he has been left in London to “explore prospective opportunities with other clubs”, meaning that he could become the second first-team departure in this transfer window following the sale of Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid.

And the report claims that the England international is of interest to Juventus in this transfer window.

Juve are said to be exploring the possibility of acquiring Rose in the coming weeks, though the Serie A transfer window closes on August 23rd, around a fortnight after the Premier League.

An intriguing move

This could work out well for Rose.

It was something of a surprise when he was left out of the travelling squad for the trip to Asia.

A move seems inevitable and a switch to Juventus would almost guarantee him some trophies prior to his retirement.

The Italian giants have already signed Aaron Ramsey on a free transfer, while they can also call on the considerable talents of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juve have won the last eight Serie A championships in a row and are as close to a guarantee of titles as a player can find.

Making such a switch would be a step up for a player who does not seem to be wanted at Spurs.
