Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has revealed that Barcelona’s Sandro Ramirez is “likely” to leave the Catalan club for Spurs next month.
The Lilywhites have enjoyed a fantastic start to the current campaign, but a niggling worry in north London remains the lack of firepower at Mauricio Pochettino’s disposal.
Although Harry Kane in is fine goalscoring form again, the England international has little in the way of cover, with Heung-min Son the only genuine option to step in – the South Korean is by no means an orthodox centre-forward.
Recent reports have linked the club with a host of options heading into the mid-season window, with Sport claiming that Barcelona’s Sandro, 20, is an option.
And respected La Liga expert Balague has claimed that a deal between the clubs is probable:
“They (Barcelona) are looking to sell players as well.” He is quoted by HITC. “Sandro, one of their players in Barcelona B, has been linked with Tottenham.
“That looks like a goer so will likely happen.”
Barca may, as they have done in the past with players sold, insist in a buy-back clause, but Sandro is unlikely to command a major fee given that he’s spent much of his recent career in the Spaniards’ B team.
