Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is lining up a move for Velez Sarsfield goalkeeper Sebastian Sosa in case Hugo Lloris elects to leave White Hart Lane this summer, according to reports from The Mirror.
The Frenchman is, arguably, one of the best stoppers in the Premier League and is considered to be one of the Lilywhites’ key men.
However, his future is far from clear, with Champions League football on the player’s agenda.
Spurs look unlikely to get back into Europe’s top club competition this season, which may throw Lloris’ time at the club into doubt.
And in case he does opt to head away from north London, Pochettino is eyeing Sosa.
The 28-year-old is believed to be free to leave his current side after being bombed out of the first-team due to impending payments written into his contract.
Reports suggest an intermediary has offered him to Spurs already, with the idea being that he would challenge Michel Vorm for a starting role.
