Spurs looking to take Belgian contingent to six with double summer move

Spurs are keen to increase their already prominent Belgian contingent to SIX this summer with moves for Michy Batshuayi and Axel Witsel, according to reports from Football Insider.

The Lilywhites already count Mousa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Nacer Chadli among their ranks from the western European nation, with all four considered to be key players under Mauricio Pochettino.

And it seems that yet more Belgians could be on the way, with Marseille’s Batshuayi and Witsel of Zenit Saint-Petersburg reportedly wanted ahead of the looming summer transfer window.

It’s understood that the London club are keeping a close eye on both players as they draw up plans, with the striker and midfielder the calibre of player needed to balance Champions League football with domestic action.

Batshuayi, 22, has netted an impressive 18 goals for l’OM this season, hinting that he would be a more than able partner for Harry Kane.

Witsel, 27, is well-known in European football and has already claimed that it’s his intention to “leave” Zenit this summer.
