According to the Turkish news outlet Gunes, Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is keen on bolstering his attacking department this summer with the signing of Roma winger Cengiz Under, but there's a catch.

What's the word?

It's claimed that the Spurs boss is already considering his options as he wants to bring more forward players to the club during the off-season.

However, Mourinho will only move for a player of Under's calibre if they qualify for the Champions League this season and with them currently sat fifth in the top-flight currently, they have every chance of doing so.

The 22-year-old's season has been hampered slightly by injury this campaign as he has been restricted to just 12 appearances in the Serie A, where he has found the net on two occasions.

Previous reports have suggested that Spurs held interest last month along with Premier League rivals Everton with Roma wanting around €40m (£34m) for his services.

Lamela successor

The right-winger has been held in high regard in the past as talkSPORT claim he has been dubbed the "Turkish Dybala" due to his dribbling skills and ability to cut in and split defences apart.

Whilst he was also regarded as an instant replacement for Mo Salah as he departed for Liverpool.

Under's agent in the past has waxed lyrical about him. He said: "Being hardworking, talented and humble as a footballer is a rare combination, but he has all three."

If Spurs can clinch him this summer, then it seems likely that Erik Lamela's place in north London is most at risk, especially as he has been a bit-part figure this campaign.

He was signed by Andre Villas-Boas back in 2013 but has been used sparingly under Jose Mourinho, starting just 11 matches from 22 appearances, primarily from the right side of midfield where he has played 114 times during his Spurs career (per Transfermarkt's recorded matches).
