Tottenham Hotspur are still without their first-choice goalkeeper as Hugo Lloris is recovering from his elbow injury he sustained back in October.

And in his stead, they have deployed Paulo Gazzaniga, the 27-year-old Argentinian goalie who attracted the headlines for all the wrong reasons on Sunday afternoon.

Against Chelsea he got himself a yellow card after a true kung-fu challenge on Marcos Alonso that gifted the visitors a penalty kick and, ultimately, their second and final goal of the evening in the 2-0 victory over Spurs.

Naturally, with another mistake to note, many Spurs fans were not really happy with Gazzaniga's display and were quick to slam their goalie on social media and Twitter:

Of course, it wasn't just the goalie who was at fault for the defeat to Frank Lampard's troops and many of the supporters were also quick to point that out.

But Gazzaniga's display was once again worrying and some have suggested he needs to be sold and replaced as a result.

It seems that they no longer see him as anything more than just a potential back-up goalie...

The only thing that he has going for him, it seems, is the fact that he is still not bad enough to be dropped for Michel Vorm, their 36-year-old alternative between the sticks.

Or at least that's what one fan seems to think.
