Spurs on verge of signing striker in £11.5m transfer, personal terms agreed

According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport, Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of signing Roma striker Tony Sanabria.

The 20-year-old has made just two Serie A appearances for his parent club but hugely impressed on loan at Sporting Gijon last season.

Indeed, the Paraguay international bagged eleven goals and one assist in 29 La Liga appearances, despite Sporting Gijon finishing just one point above the relegation zone.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are ready to cash in on the prodigious South American to fund a summer swoop for Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj.

And they already have a buyer lined up in Tottenham Hotspur, who have reportedly already agreed personal terms with Sanabria.

The Lilywhites are known to be in the market for another front-man to support Harry Kane, who started all of their 38 Premier League fixtures last season.

Roma want £11.5million for Sanabria – although it remains unconfirmed whether the White Hart Lane outfit have actually matched that valuation.
