Tottenham Hotspur are considering matching the £9m release clause in Barcelona ace Sandro Ramirez’s contract to secure a deal for his signature, according to Sport.
Ramirez has been heavily linked with a move away from the Nou Camp in recent weeks, with La Liga club Real Betis already having had a loan offer turned down by the Catalans.
Spurs are keen on signing a striker this month to alleviate the pressure on star man Harry Kane, and Spanish source Sport have claimed they could match Sandro’s buy-out fee to lure him over ahead of the looming transfer deadline.
However, the European champions are demanding that any offer for the 20-year-old should have buy-back option, which could deter the Lilywhites from making a move.
Sandro is looking to leave the club due to the high amount of competition for a first-team spot, with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar ahead of him in the pecking order.
The starlet has only made 10 appearances in the league this season, scoring no goals.
