Spurs ready to kick off talks for goalscoring winger, Poch a big fan

Spurs are ready to push through a move for Braga winger Rafa Silva before the close of the transfer window, with Mauricio Pochettino a big fan of the EURO 2016 winner, according to reports from the Mirror.

The 23-year-old was a part of Portugal’s successful European Championship set-up, albeit he only managed one brief appearance as a substitute.

However, Silva is highly-rated after a fine few seasons in the Primeira Liga with Braga, and reports claim that Spurs are keen to lure him to London.

It’s understood that Tottenham are eager to do a deal before the close of the current transfer window, with Pochettino a long-term admirer of him.

Zenit St Petersburg and Porto are also keen on Silva, who netted eight goals in league action last season.

Reports have claimed that Spurs value him at £10m, but it’s believed that Braga want a much higher fee for their star man.
