Spurs readying £30m bid for Zenit ace

Hulk (Zenit)

Tottenham will submit a £30million bid for Brazilian playmaker Hulk, according to the Mirror.

The Zenit St. Petersburg forward is a target for the Premier League side as they plan for life without Gareth Bale, who is set to join Real Madrid.

Andre Villas-Boas has turned to Hulk after missing out on fellow Brazilian Willian, who snubbed a move to Spurs for Chelsea instead. The Blues are yet to officially confirm the deal for the attacker, who recently had a medical at Stamford Bridge.

Hulk has already scored once for Zenit this season, getting the second in his side’s 3-0 victory over Anzhi Makhachkala earlier this month. Willian did not play for the visitors.

But Spurs are keen to bring Hulk from Russia, and are ready to bid £30million for the striker. And AVB will be hoping that Hulk joins up with Erik Lamela, who is close to securing a £26million move to White Hart Lane. The Argentine missed Roma’s match against Livorno last night, as he travelled to London.

Whilst the Portuguese manager will be making sure no team tries to hijack this move, Lamela looks set to become Spurs’ 5th summer signing, after Capoue, Chadli, Paulinho and Soldado.

Spurs will be hoping to secure the services of Hulk before the transfer window deadline on September 2nd.

Do Spurs fans want to see Hulk at White Hart Lane? Are they excited about Lamela?
