The midfielder made his first-team debut in November 2014 and picked up his first Premier League appearance earlier this season, coming on as a stoppage time substitute in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool last month.
The highly-rated 20-year-old has also represented England frequently at youth level, picking up 22 caps between the U17 and U20 age groups.
And it appears the north London club are working to secure the futures of their most promising young talent as well, agreeing a contract with Winks until 2021.
Spurs have started strongly in the Premier League this season, claiming eight points from their opening four fixtures.
