Ryan Sessegnon has promised that there is more to come at Tottenham Hotspur, per the club’s official website.

What’s he said?

The ex-Fulham man has started the last two games in the Premier League with Son Heung-Min suspended.

He also started the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, scoring at the Allianz Arena in a 3-1 defeat.

Sessegnon has yet to get on the scoresheet in the Premier League but he maintains that he can only get better.

The 19-year-old said, when asked about his performance in the 2-2 draw with Norwich City: “I was okay.

“I’ve still got a lot to deliver to this team and step by step, with more games, fitness, I’ll get there.

“I just want to get forward and get more crosses into the box. In the last two games I haven’t put decent, threatening crosses in, so that’s something I’ll be working on for the next game.”

Mourinho's produced some incredible footballing stars - how much do you know about them?

The right mentality

This is exactly what Spurs fans will want to hear.

Sessegnon is still just a teenager but he seems desperate to improve and make himself indispensable to manager Jose Mourinho.

He is a tricky, pacey winger who can only really improve during his time in north London but these quotes show that he is on the right track.

At Fulham, last season, he made 38 appearances in all competitions and scored twice, while registering six assists.

He will know, more than anyone, that those numbers aren’t exactly fantastic; he is clearly desperate to right that wrong at his new employers.

Meanwhile, Spurs fans want the club to sign another Premier League defender
