Hugo Lloris is undoubtedly one of the top goalkeepers in the Premier League. The debate as to who is the best often revolves around Petr Cech at Arsenal and Manchester United’s David de Gea, but the Frenchman certainly deserves recognition, and he showed once again today just why he’s so highly rated.
Away at Bournemouth, Lloris reacted swiftly to keep the Cherries out, with Charlie Daniels looking odds on to score after a corner dropped kindly in the area.
The defender poked towards goal, but Lloris spread himself well to flick the ball up and onto the crossbar, keeping his side level.
With the incident having taken place just five minutes into the game, it could prove to be key for Spurs, who would have faced an uphill task away to a technically adept Bournemouth who are full of confidence following their 6-1 win at the Vitality Stadium against Hull last weekend.
