Spurs target £60m attacking pair to boost top four hopes

Tottenham are eyeing moves for West Brom’s Saido Berahino and Crystal Palace ace Yannick Bolasie as they look to add numbers and quality to their squad before the transfer window closes, according to reports from the London Evening Standard.

The North London club have endured a fairly quiet summer in terms of additions, with defensive trio Kevin Wimmer, Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderwireld the only names added to Mauricio Pochetino’s fifth-place finishers – underwhelming business when compared to that of sides around them, such as Liverpool and Man United.

And the Spurs hierarchy are keen to up the ante as they plot to build a side capable of a top four finish, with reports claiming that Bolasie and Berahino are on their radar.

The latter has a £20m valuation on his head and has, in the past, claimed that he’s keen to move on to bigger and better things.

Bolasie meanwhile has been slapped with as astonishing £40m price tag by manager Alan Pardew, and this makes only one move viable for Tottenham in a financial sense.

Berahino may be the more tempting option, with the player’s potential to form a partnership with Harry Kane intriguing.

Reports claim that Charlie Austin and Victor Moses are also options.
